A theorized baseline model is specified that yields all other alternative models of interest as special cases. Generalized ordered Logit estimation is adopted for all models, and specification tests for model selection are based on AIC, BIC, RMSEA, and  Study reveals that global engagement through active partnership was a real obstacle to world-class university status and might further undermine the commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. AN ONSITE PHYSICAL FITNESS CENTER FOR FACULTY WELLNESS PROGRAM

The study employed an experimental one-group pretest-posttest design to determine the effectiveness of a physical fitness center in improving the fitness status of the college faculty. Fifteen college faculties were asked to undergo an exercise program with the help of the school’s physical fitness center. Fitness performance was identified using the standardized physical fitness test: VO2 Max for cardiovascular endurance, sit and reach for flexibility, and squat for muscular strength. Mean and standard deviation was used to discuss the physical fitness performance of the faculty. Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used to obtain the difference between the faculty’s pre-test and post-test fitness performance. It revealed a development in the cardiovascular endurance of the faculty after using the physical fitness center. It also showed that the physical fitness status of the faculty in terms of muscular strength and flexibility was excellent before and after using the physical fitness center.

INTERVENTION STRATEGIES OF REGULAR ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM TEACHERS FOR STUDENTS WITH BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS

This study sought to explore intervention strategies employed by teachers in teaching pupils with behavioral problems through qualitative research using phenomenological design. To gather the data, the researcher conducted semi-formal virtual interviews with four teachers. The data gathered through the interviews were triangulated with document analysis of the pupil’s behavioral logbook. Three themes, collaborating with others to have a common rule, collaborating with others to have a calmer, and collaborating with others to have an angel, emerged from the study. Based on the findings, managing student behavior is not the sole responsibility of the classroom teacher; rather, it needs the cooperation of everyone in the school. Collaboration as an intervention strategy in managing behavior and teaching children with behavioral problems is a powerful tool. The study recommends exploring strategies in other grade levels and including classroom observation to triangulate data gathered.

“MY ROOTS, MY BEGINNINGS”: DEMOGRAPHICS AND EARLY CIRCUMSTANCES OF MALE ADOLESCENT HOMOSEXUALS

Homosexuality is defined as the sexual attraction to the persons of the same sex. Worldwide, estimating the number of homosexuals continue to become a challenge due to many factors. Foremost is the unwillingness on the part of the homosexuals to be identified due to social stigma related to homosexuality. In this qualitative-phenomenological research, the researcher delved into understanding the demographic profiles of the male adolescent homosexuals in a local state college, and also utilized an in-depth interview to discover early circumstances which they have experienced being male adolescent homosexuals. Seven (7) male homosexual adolescents enrolled in the college during the second semester of AY 2017-2018 participated. Creswell’s method for analyzing qualitative research was used, and their responses regarding their early circumstances revealed three broad themes: Nativism: It is in my Nature, Empiricism: I was Raised to be One and Ambiguity: I, myself, Wonder Why. Nativism consists of conditions which contributed to their homosexuality, believing that it is their innate condition, inherent in their nature. Empiricism includes conditions which are contributed by their surroundings such as influence, the movies that they see, the shows that they like, the toys that they preferred. Ambiguity refers to the uncertainty on the part of the participants as to what have caused their homosexuality. As a novel research in the local state college, the results will generate programs for self-understanding, especially for those who are in the process of self-discovery as male adolescent homosexuals.
