The study’s approach utilized descriptive phenomenology, which is concerned with revealing the “essential structure” of any phenomenon under investigation rather than something else. The researcher employed purposeful sampling based on experience to provide rich insights from the respondents. The said informants were selected based on the identified number of students simultaneously taking Arabic classes at a local madrasah to determine their lived experiences. Researchers-structured interview questions were administered to gather data from the five respondents. Through thematic analysis, the students’ lived experiences in Arabic education in a public secondary school were centered on five relevant themes: Islam is a Way of Life; the school’s support for students learning Arabic; Challenges in the School Environment; Intercultural Communication Development; and Advantages in future success.
