EXPLORING DIASPORIC IDENTITIES AND CULTURAL REPRESENTATIONS

Diasporic identities and cultural representation in Indian English literature are subjects that are intricately connected and shed light on the complicated realities of those who are navigating the intersections of culture, migration, and identity. Indian English literature, when viewed through the lens of diaspora, gives readers the opportunity to investigate the myriad ways in which selfhood can be expressed in a world that is more globalised. Concerns of cultural hybridity, concerns of belonging, and the negotiation of identity in a variety of sociocultural contexts are all issues that are addressed by authors working in this genre. Their artworks not only focus on the difficulties of accurately portraying Indian culture in diasporic contexts, but they also highlight the richness and diversity of Indian society.
