This study discusses about cyber crime and legal regulations. Cybercrimes are harmful online activities that have the potential to harm a person, their property, the government, or even society. There are a lot of cybercrimes that are committed worldwide by criminals using advancements in PC technology. India is not an exception to the risk posed by PCs. However, the Information Technology Act of 2000 was created by the government as a preventative and control tool for online crimes. The Act has also undergone two revisions to keep up with the evolving nature of this criminal activity.
