In the present research paper the researcher studied the academic motivation of secondary school students in relation to their self-concept. The objective of the present study was to classify the academic motivation of secondary school students in relation to dimension of self-concept. One null hypothesis has been formulated. Descriptive survey method has been used. Two standardized tools have been administrated on 304 secondary school students. As conclusion it can be said that some dimension of self-concept enhance the academic motivation and some dimension of self-concept not any effect on the academic motivation of secondary school students.

Globalization has a wide role to play worldwide. It has left back its footprints at every sphere of life. Globalization has had an uneven development in different areas of human knowledge. In some fields, globalization has advanced more thoroughly; like in commerce and trade, technology, sports, art and even in the education field, globalization has already made huge strides. Education is a key factor in dealing with the impact of global megatrends. Standardizing education to fit global standards has been an age-old practice that has had spectacular developments in the recent decades; for example, the International Baccalaureate program at the high school level. This program has been increasingly popular and demanded among students and teachers around the planet. An important component of globalization in relation to education is the need for producing higher quality manpower that can successfully face the competition in the world. The effects of globalization on education bring rapid developments in technology and communications are foreseeing changes within learning systems across the world as ideas, values and knowledge, changing the roles of students and teachers, and producing a shift in society from industrialization towards an information-based society. It reflects the effect on culture and brings about a new form of cultural imperialism. The rise of new cultural imperialism is shaping children, the future citizens of the world into ‘global citizens’, intelligent people with a broad range of skills and knowledge to apply to a competitive, information based society. The large difference in opportunities in education between countries is one of the basic causes of global inequality. This paper analyze the effect of globalization on education and relationship between them.

In this land of innumerable regional languages in different States, English serves as a link-language in the country. Reading literature is a pleasurable, entertaining activity that offers readers the potential to escape from the troubles of daily life. Above all else, literature survives because of its capacity to entertain readers. Literature also has the power to provoke thought in readers, making it a leisure activity that is also intellectually productive. Literature also has the power to impart a wide variety of experiences to readers. A story can expose readers to different places, time periods, viewpoints and cultures. Readers can gain experiences through literature they would never have access to in ordinary life. Literature’s ability to capture the imagination and depict the lives of others also increases readers’ ability to empathize with others. A study published in the journal Science found that readers of literary fiction demonstrated an increased ability to infer other people’s thoughts and emotions. Finally, literature helps develop critical-thinking skills. Readings and discussions of literature force readers to make reasoned judgments about character motivations, cause and effect, critical analysis of plot and more. Although there’s no one industry which takes precedence, English degree graduates are often found where strong communication and written English skills are top priorities; for example, within the worlds of media and publishing.

Women are an important element of our Society. The modern society has started recognizing the individual identity of women. She is believed to have her aspiration, abilities and qualities as a man does have and it is also agreed that she should have the opportunities to develop her faculties and to express them according to her own choice.

Young educated girls can get engaged in a profession of her choice. We need more doctors, engineers, software developers, and social workers. The world cannot grow at good pace unless women come forward and take initiative for the development works.

Adolescence is the state of growth in which adolescent is seen to be very active and unstable as well as disturbed. The main thing of this period in life is that the adolescent is no longer a child but an adult; though the society in which he lives continues treat him as a child. Adolescence is often described as a time of greater storm and stress (Sturmund Draang) than other periods of life. Children of this age become depressed, under stress and using psychiatric medication, prescribed even before they came to college. In 2001, Paul Poulain (of Marseille, France) began adding many new features to Koha, most significantly support for multiple languages. By 2010, Koha has been translated from its original English into French, Chinese, Arabic and several other languages. Support for the cataloguing and search standards  was added in 2002 and later sponsored by the Athens County Public Libraries. In France Paul Poulain co-founded BibLibre in 2007.

Learning can be immensely gratifying, but studying usually involves hard work. The first step towards effective study habits is to face up to this reality. One need not feel guilty if one doesn’t look forward to studying. Once an individual accepts the premise that studying doesn’t come naturally, it should be apparent that one needs to set up an organized programme to promote adequate study. Philosopher Aurobindo (1872-1950) can be viewed as a 20th century renaissance person. Born in Kolkata, India, Aurobindo was educated at Cambridge University. In Baroda, Aurobindo joined the state service in 1893, working first in the Survey and Settlements department, later moving to the Department of Revenue and then to the Secretariat, and much miscellaneous work like teaching grammar and assisting in writing speeches for the Maharaja of Gaekwad until 1897. In 1897 during his work in Baroda he started working as a part-time French teacher at Baroda College (now Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda). He was later promoted to the post of vice-principal. At Baroda, Aurobindo self-studied Sanskrit and Bengali. He was an intellectual who intensely analyzed human and social evolution. The present paper highlights the philosophical contributions of Shri Aurobindo Ghosh to Education. It relates the importance of Aurobindo’s philosophy of education with different components of education: aims of education, curriculum, transaction, school, relationship of teacher and pupil; discipline; and finally the implication of Aurobindo’s philosophy of education on globalization.

The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between teacher freezing with mental health and personality among secondary school teachers. A total of 250 secondary school teachers (140 men and 110 women) between the ages range of 28-49 years old participated in this research. To collect data, all subject filled out

Teacher Freezness Scale Constructed and standardized by Taj (1996) Parmod Kumar -Mental Health check list.

Arun Kumar Singh and Ashish Singh – Differential Personality Inventory

The results of present research showed that mental Health extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness were negatively significant correlations with teacher freezing sub-scales (P<0.05) but neuroticism was positively significant correlation with theme (P<0.05). On the other hand, conscientiousness was not significant with teacher freezing sub-scales (P>0.05). Thus, the strength of the correlations obtained in the present study suggests that mental health and personality have a significant role in teacher freezing in secondary school teachers.
