ChatGPT is a language model that generates human-like text based on given concepts. It has significantly influenced the field of education since its inception. Generation Z and Millennials are among the generations that grew up amidst evolving technology. Researchers examined the similarities and differences in the perspectives of these two generations on the use of AI. Using a descriptive-narrative design, researchers conducted interviews via questionnaires with three students and three teachers each from a private school in Manila. The researchers discovered the following similarities in the perspectives of Gen Z students and Millennial teachers: Both students and teachers use ChatGPT in their tasks; They have similar views on the possibility of over-reliance on ChatGPT; They agree on the ethical considerations in using ChatGPT; and They believe that ChatGPT can be an innovation in the field of education. While there are positive and negative results from using ChatGPT, a key difference in perspective also emerged between the two groups: the impact of using ChatGPT on students. This theme is important to understand the true perspectives of students and teachers regarding the use of AI or ChatGPT, which can be used as a basis for implementing AI in schools.
