IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF SENIOR SECONDARY STUDENTS

A comprehensive investigation on the influence of social media on the academic performance of senior secondary school pupils is presented in the research report. In order to investigate this connection, the research makes use of quantitative approaches to analyse the patterns of social media usage among students and the academic performance that is associated with such trends. This study investigates the duration and purpose of students’ participation with social media by means of questionnaires and the examination of academic records. It also establishes a correlation between these behaviours and the grades and learning outcomes of the students. In order to determine if social media functions as a catalyst or an impediment to academic performance, the purpose of this study is to provide insights into potential correlations, problems, and techniques for positively exploiting social media within educational environments.
